Summer Moon Magic, Skateboards, and Storytelling
Hey friends,
Just wanted to send out a little update from my world lately—it’s been a wild, beautiful mix of creativity, healing, and community, and I’m super grateful to be able to share it all with you.
First off, big shoutout to my friend Diego for the amazing Warriorside training. That experience helped me bring a whole new level of presence and storytelling into my work. I had the chance to give a speech that really meant a lot to me—here’s the YouTube video if you want to check it out. Would love to hear what it stirs up for you.
I also co-hosted a Full Moon Yoga + Sound Bath in July with my friend Sophia. It was such a grounding, heart-opening evening under the Capricorn full moon. You can see a few pics from that night here.
Additionally, an unexpected opportunity arrived for me to offer a sound bath to my classmates at Antioch University. It was for my classmates taking the course called Intercultural, Transpersonal, Depth Psychology. So thankful for that, and I snapped a pic from it that’s down below.
We’ve got another one coming up this Saturday for the Aquarius Full Moon, and it’s shaping up to be something special. Aquarius is my sun sign, so I’m excited to tap into some of the big themes it brings up—innovation, insight, freedom, emotional intelligence, and spiritual growth. Here’s a bit more on the “Sturgeon” Moon from Yoga Journal that honestly feels spot-on for me:
“The full Moon in Aquarius is a time to release any habits and patterns that block authentic expression. Aquarius helps us align with our inner truths and find a sense of belonging with people who share these truths. And it helps us understand when we’re doing things to merely fit in versus sharing our unique perspective no matter what others might think of us.”
I’ll also be giving everyone a special gift from the founder of Luna Focus App. If you’re in town and want to drop in, here’s the event link to join us!
Another fun thing: I got to be a guest on two really meaningful podcasts recently. First, I joined my West Point brothers Ben and Rob on The Bold American Podcast to talk about transitioning out of the Army and stepping into a life aligned with purpose. Then I had a deep conversation with my Ranger buddy Dan on Tenable Vibrations, where we explored a bunch of different healing paths for those navigating tough times.
Check them out:
Lastly, I’ve also been pouring my energy into new art—I’m designing a series of custom skateboard decks to auction off at the Heroic Hearts Project Gala. All funds raised will help send veterans on healing retreats. I’m also offering another yoga and sound healing ceremony for the auction, just like I did last year. That session with the family in LA was so beautiful and affirming—can’t wait to offer it again.
So yeah, it’s been a creative, connected season. Thanks for reading and being part of this evolving journey with me.
Before I sign off, I’d love to hear from you—what kinds of conversations, topics, or offerings would you want to see more of? Hit reply or shoot me a message.
Much love,
Will
